Our mission is to collect, preserve and promote materials documenting the remarkable life of Mary Randall Vickers, her family and the enterprises she and her descendants built over generations — particularly Vickers Oils, established in 1828.
We exist to preserve the Vickers story, to ground the family and its businesses in a shared sense of history, and to celebrate, inspire and connect employees, customers, future generations and the wider public.

We are open and honest about what we hold, what we know, and what we don't. The archive recognises that this is a business of families, and we are rigorous in how we preserve and interpret that wider history.
INTEGRITY

The Vickers story belongs to more than one family. We are committed to making this archive available to employees, customers, researchers and the wider public — now and for generations to come.
LEGACY

Our collections are developed, conserved and safeguarded to the highest professional standards. From business history to textiles, religion to Leeds itself — we take the responsibility of keeping this record seriously.
